Clinical Psychology Registrar

There is variance in the focus on therapy, depending on the person; therefore, I believe each client deserves a tailored approach. That is, to understand the individual experiences of my client, and the difficulties they are facing, and tailor therapy to their needs. It is therefore important to support clients to recognise how their lifetime experiences have affected the way they feel, think, and conduct themselves; and importantly, gain insight into, and integrate, their life story. I also find it important to collaboratively support clients in developing personalised techniques which can assist with daily struggles.

It is important that the therapy space feels shared, equal, genuinely free from judgement, and open for candid explorations. I wish for my clients to find the therapy space safe and comfortable, and can feel free to express themselves however they wish to.

My professional experience following completing my Master of Clinical Psychology at UTS, involves both the private and public sector. I have worked with people from all walks of life, and in doing so, have learnt an incredible amount from my clients. My experience includes, working in public health with individuals from a minority group with chronic physical health issues, substance use, and complex mental health difficulties; working with adults, young people, and families who have experienced trauma and early adverse experiences; working with individuals affected by the adoption and out of home care systems; and working privately with a wide range of presentations including, chronic health issues, interpersonal difficulties, family dynamic issues, anxieties and phobias, and depression underpinned by varied problems.

My therapeutic approach utilises a variety of modalities including, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Psychodynamic Psychotherapy (PPT), and mindfulness and trauma-focused therapies.

I am available for appointments on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, and see both adolescents and adults in our office at the Cannery.
