Mark Travers

Clinical Psychology Registrar
Mascot: Tuesdays and Wednesdays

I approach therapy with warmth, empathy, and acceptance. I believe it’s important to work with the individual in a way that is free of judgment and I strive to understand the person rather than the problems they are grappling with.

Unsatisfied with my career in business in the UK and Australia, I chose to study psychology. I was driven by a keen interest in the human mind and what makes us tick. I have found my psychology career so far to be incredibly enriching and rewarding.

I have clinical experience across hospital, custodial, university, and private practice settings. I have worked with people experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship problems, I have a particular interest in adult ADHD

I have trained in a range of modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Schema Therapy. Above all, I believe in a person-centred approach to therapy rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.

I hold a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) and a Master of Clinical Psychology from the Australian College of Applied Psychology. I am hold General Registration as a Psychologist and I am currently completing my Clinical Psychology Registrar Program.
