Sanah Misra

Clinical Psychologist
Mascot: Mondays and Thursdays

Sanah is a warm and passionate Clinical Psychologist who seeks to empower her clients to navigate the challenges they face. With a strong belief that painful experiences are an expected part of human existence, Sanah considers both acceptance and change to be necessary facets in therapy. By maintaining a curious and non-judgemental approach, Sanah seeks to build positive rapport and create a safe space for individuals she works with. Keeping in mind that people are often the experts in their own lives, Sanah considers the role of a psychologist to be one who prompts self-reflection, and helps you modify patterns of thinking and behaving that are no longer helpful, and in this process, take you closer to the life you desire for yourself.

Sanah has clinical experience working with a diverse range of individuals. She has experience in working with anxiety, depression, stress, anger, grief, trauma, emotion dysregulation, and interpersonal difficulties. Sanah also has experience in working with first responders and cancer patients. She uses a combination of evidence-based treatments such as Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Mindfulness-based interventions.

Sanah has completed her Masters in Clinical Psychology from the Australian Catholic University, Sydney and holds a clinical psychology endorsement with the Psychology Board of Australia. She is also a Psychology Board-Approved Supervisor and has experience in supervising provisional psychologists and clinical psychology registrars. Sanah has worked across a variety of setting including non-government organizations, university clinics and hospitals. In addition to private practice, Sanah works in an adult psychiatric hospital facilitating psychoeducational groups for individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, substance use and personality disorders.
