Alanna is a warm Clinical Psychology Registrar who values the opportunity to build a genuine and meaningful connection with her clients. She brings an open and collaborative approach to treatment and works alongside her clients to build upon their existing strengths, come to new understandings of how past experiences have contributed to and shaped their current experiences and equip them with the skills needed to navigate challenges to lead a life that is personally fulfilling to them.
Alanna has gained clinical experience from public and private health sectors, working with a diverse range of clients from all walks of life. Alanna works to establish a safe and open environment where clients feel heard and supported and has adopted an approach which enables her to be creative and flexible in her work in order to tailor treatment to meet her clients’ needs. She is trained in and draws upon a range of modalities, including Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
Alanna completed her Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) at Sydney University and her Master of Clinical Psychology at the University of Technology Sydney. She is registered as a Clinical Psychologist with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency).
